Writing Prompt Wednesday

I’ve been thinking about how to create content for my blog. There are times when I have nothing (nice) to say, so I stay quiet. I don’t do things to damage my calm. I won’t do things that will damage my calm.

Here’s the deal. I was thinking about what to do, and I was listening to this panel on writing. For over an hour I heard all of these writers come up with all of these different stories with only the first sentence in common. I’ll be sharing this on Facebook. I also have a few friends that wanted in on this, so I’ll be able to share their stuff too.

Now, I will say this for my stuff. It may, or may not be connected to something that I’m already working on. The first prompt is connected to a storyline that I’m still working all of the kinks out of. It’s just a scene in that world. It doesn’t even have a mention of the main cast. My next one may be related to Maxwell Investigations or the Murder of Crows. Heck, it could be linked to something else totally different.

Below, you’re going to see the opening sentences. If you’re a writer and want in, just comment or drop me a line. I’ll be more than happy to share.

Now that you’ve been warned, enjoy!

The blood dripped slowly down the wall.

I remember because I can’t forget.

Sometimes the person you would take a bullet for is the one behind the trigger.

I’ve got no reception in the club.

When you see a stranger, follow him.

Shake it like until you see it.

Well, that didn’t go as planned.

If I could, I would give you the world.

Dude, we are not asking a dragon for directions.
